POOL CARE KEY #2 - FILTRATION

The filter is one of the most important pieces of equipment in a pool. A clean, properly functioning filter removes debris you can see as well as some you can't see.

There are three kinds of filters:

• Sand Filter
• Cartridge Filter
• Diatomaceous Earth (D.E. Filter).

Regardless of the type of filter, normal maintenance is essential and always involves two
steps:

• Physical cleaning to remove loose debris
• Chemical cleaning to remove oils and stubborn, caked-on debris

BioGuard offers products to chemically clean the filter.

In a chlorine or bromine pool:
